Emese Dobos

I am Emese Dobos, I obtained my degree in physical education at Semmelweis University. Already during my university years, I was interested in neurology and robot-assisted therapy, which is why I started working as an intern at the Steps Neurorehabilitation Center. During my internship, I gained experience in the field of neurorehabilitation and robot-assisted therapy, I saw its effectiveness and the possibilities of its individualized application. After obtaining my diploma, I worked as a volunteer in an equestrian therapy center in Spain, where I dealt with neurologically affected children with multiple injuries.
As a member of the STEPS team, my goal is to use the most modern therapeutic tools and methods to help our patients recover and improve their quality of life. With all my dedication and knowledge, I am dedicated to supporting the patient’s journey step by step here in this environment, where everything is given for development.

Zsófia Zsigrai

I graduated from the Pető András Faculty of Semmelweis University as a conductor-kindergarten teacher. Ever since my high school studies, I have been convinced that I want to work with people. Helping my fellow man has always been central to my life. During my studies, I completed my practical training in clinics, development centers and kindergartens, where I gained insight into patient-centered complex care and thus received continuous professional training.
My interest in neurorehabilitation defined my university years. As a newly graduated professional, I would like to further expand my knowledge. In the most suitable place for this, I provide comprehensive care to the patients who come to us, enriching the professional team of STEPS Clinic, Hungary’s leading institution using robot-assisted technology.

Anna Németh

I graduated as a physiotherapist in 2015, and in 2018 I obtained a master’s degree at Semmelweis University. In 2023, I qualified as a manual therapist. I worked for 7 years in the Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation Department of the Honvédkórház, where during my work I dealt with the treatment of various orthopedic, traumatological and neurological diseases, as well as their rehabilitation after surgery, with great success. As a therapist, I try to learn as many methods as possible in order to see the human body in the most complex way possible, thereby helping my patients to heal.

Dr. Katalin Zsiga PhD

I graduated from Semmelweis University in 2008. I decided early on that I wanted to work with musculoskeletal patients, and in the end I decided on the rehabilitation specialty because of its holistic approach and the inherent power of teamwork. In parallel, I completed my PhD work in the field of the application of advanced technology, i.e. robot therapy in rehabilitation. At the beginning of my professional career, I gained experience at the Szent János Hospital in Budapest in internal medicine, traumatology and neurology departments. I currently work at the National Medical Rehabilitation Institute, where I primarily deal with the rehabilitation of adult musculoskeletal and neurological patients.

Csongor Latky

I am Latky Csongor, the manager of the Steps NeuroRehabilitation center. When we dreamed up the center in 2019, we wanted to create a medical institution that would pioneer and fill a gap by offering high-level technology-supported intensive rehabilitation that was not available in Hungary. With all this, hundreds of patients are guaranteed high-level care at home.

The originator of the center was a fellow pilot who, after his unfortunate accident and spinal injury, could only find similar care abroad. It was already clear to him, which many people here did not yet see, that he would need a different approach, equipment and intensity in order to replace the wheelchair with the cockpit of the airplane.

For planning, we visited leading and successful neurorehabilitation clinics in Europe.

It was an undisclosed goal that we wanted to initiate a change of attitude within the rehabilitation profession in Hungary with intensive (up to 6-8 hours a day of robotic, manual and other therapy for months) and patient-centered outpatient care.

For all this, in addition to purchasing the most modern robotic devices, we relied on foreign experience, but above all on the selection and training of therapists working with our patients.

In addition to high professional competence, a sense of professionalism is also expected, which is unavoidable if we want to do a helping job well.

When putting together the Steps Team, I strove to ensure that the team members were not only excellent professionals in their professions, but also dedicated, empathetic and good people.

My personal motivation is helping people, which I have the opportunity to do every day during my work. Small successes and hoped-for miraculous recoveries give me joy and at the same time strength to overcome difficulties.

Dr. Lehel Finta

I obtained my medical degree in 2004, then worked at the National Institute of Clinical Neuroscience in Budapest and at the Priory Hospital Group based in London. In 2012, I passed the specialist exam in neurology at Semmelweis University with an excellent rating. I am the author of several professional scientific articles and lectures. What I can help with: diagnosis, treatment and care of strokes (cerebral blood circulation disorders), dizziness, headaches, back pain, numbness, loss of consciousness, epilepsy, and Parkinson’s disease.

Kinga Pete

I’m Kinga Pete, psychologist, PhD student, autogenic training therapist and art therapist in training. I obtained my degree in psychology in France, specialising in cognitive-affective neuropsychology. I am currently pursuing my PhD studies at the ELTE Doctoral School of Psychology. My research examines neuropsychological functions of post-COVID patients and investigates possible interventions (virtual reality-based cognitive intervention, art therapy) for post-COVID sequelae. Besides research, I am actively involved in teaching. Previously, I had the possibility to do internships in France and Italy in the fields of clinical neuropsychology, applied virtual reality and affective psychophysiology. Afterwards, I worked at a healthcare initiative in order to optimise Hungarian stroke care.

I strongly believe in and support life-long learning, keeping up with international literature and technological developments. I follow a person-centred approach in my work as a psychologist, and my aim is to help the psychological development of the individual in a safe, accepting, empathetic and caring atmosphere.
What I can help with: individual psychological counselling, autogenic training, virtual reality based cognitive intervention

Luca Légrádi

My name is Luca Légrádi – a conductor who graduated at the Faculty of András Pető, Semmelweis University. After obtaining my diploma, I got the possibility to strengthen the team of Steps Neurorehabilitation Center, hence my primary goal was to learn about a new, professionally preeminent therapeutic trend: robot-assisted rehabilitation combined with conventional conductive pedagogy. Along these lines, my sentiment and interest are the following: the coordinated application of these two areas of rehabilitation provides the experience of professional success, thus the life of an individual with central nervous system damage may improve on a fairly outstanding pace during the therapeutic process.

Nelli Németh

I graduated as a physiotherapist at Semmelweis University in 2022. During the practical training, I liked neurology the most, and at the Steps Neurorehabilitation Center, this discipline is combined with a very special field, robotics, so the rehabilitation here is even more interesting. The therapists’ patient-centered attitude, helpfulness, and pleasant atmosphere make working with patients even more enjoyable, and give everything to my professional development.

Dávid Marcell Ernyey

I completed my Physiotherapist Bsc and Msc studies at Semmelweis University, where I was already interested in neurology. During my research work, I dealt with functional electrostimulation, mainly among spinal cord injured and stroke patients. I participated in several Hungarian and foreign conferences on this topic. I also use the Mulligan Concept manual therapy method in my therapeutic toolkit. I try to expand my knowledge with further specialist training in order to be able to help our patients as efficiently as possible, combining the possibilities offered by both robotic technology and traditional physiotherapy. At STEPS, you can do both!

Anna Dánielfy

I graduated as a physiotherapist at the Faculty of Health Sciences of Semmelweis University. Throughout my studies I was always keen on obtaining as much practical knowledge as possible, so I volunteered at several places – this is how I got to know STEPS, which was love at first sight. During a semester spent in Poland, I gained insight into many manual techniques and now I’m doing a course on manual therapy too. I believe that continuous learning and self-development is indispensable and I always strive to get the most out of myself and the patients. I choose neurology because it requires loads of creativity, motivation, and the personalized therapy and teamwork are essential as well. Luckily STEPS is very well-equipped with the most modern tools, so every opportunity is given for the most efficient rehabilitation and improvement.
